Frank Cantrell ROBERTS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Frank Cantrell Roberts, age 85, was born May 27, 1926 and died November 10, 2011 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation, United States Navy veteran of WWII and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Jessie and Groverlee Woodlee Roberts. He was married to Katherine Cantrell Roberts who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Whitman and two sisters, Eva Sain and Inez Pegg. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Joanna Roberts and Billy and Yvonne Roberts both of McMinnville and Frank and Dana Roberts of Normandy, TN; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sue Roberts of McMinnville; sister, Fay Mix of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
