Edith Pauline SHARP

McMinnville resident and Madison County, AL native Edith Pauline Sharp, age 85, was born March 18, 1925 and died March 14, 2011 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired employee of Oster and member of the East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Pressley A. and Ruth Mires Rutledge. She was married December 15, 1945 to Milton Leon Sharp who preceded her in death November 23, 2010. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Zane, Ernest and Joe Louis Rutledge and one sister, Nellodene Crabtree. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Danny and Loretta Sharp of Shelbyville, TN, June and Butch Lorance and Tessia Stewart both of McMinnville and Karen and Earl Nunley of Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Holder and brother Gene Rutledge both of Lincoln County, TN. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in High's Chapel with Jim Boyd officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
