McMinnville resident and Akron, OH native Virginia Nist Siegferth, age 93, was born June 4, 1918 and died June 9, 2011 at her residence following a brief illness. A homemaker and member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Walsh Nist. She was married to William John Siegferth who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Elizabeth Siegferth House; granddaughter, Heather Siegferth; two sisters, Rosemary Nist Westly and Betty Nist McGraw; three brothers, William Nist, Thomas Nist and Joe Nist and son-in-law, Bill House. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Ron DePiero of McMinnville; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Betty Siegferth of Randolph, OH and David and Dee Siegferth of Doylestown, OH; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Nist Zwisler of Akron, OH and Peg Nist Dyer of South Carolina; one brother, Ed Nist of Apache Junction, AZ and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held in her honor at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church led by Father David Cooney. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, OH.
