William Robert Bob SMIDDIE

Pomeroy, OH resident and Benham, KY native William Robert "Bob" Smiddie, age 80, was born February 6, 1931 and died June 20, 2011 at his residence following a prolonged illness. A potter and a Democratic precinct committeeman, he was the son of the late Clifford and Amanda Woodlee Smiddie. He is survived by his wife, Beth Amoriya of Pomeroy, OH; son, Kyle Smiddie of Newark, NJ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Alan James of Chicago, IL, Kellie Smiddie and Kevin Corp of Cleveland, OH and Angel and Ray Newberry of Canal Winchester, OH; five grandchildren, Nora of Chicago, IL, James, Annie and Michelle of Cleveland, OH and Reilly of Canal Winchester, OH and one sister, Frances Woodlee Moore of Kingston, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Armstrong Church of Christ with family officiating. Burial followed in Armstrong Cemetery.
