Wavie Lillian Panter STACY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Wavie Lillian Panter Stacy, age 99, was born April 27, 1912 and died May 16, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following a brief illness. A retired nursery worker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Myrtle Christian Panter. She was married to Richard H. Stacy who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Donnie Joe Stacy; four brothers, O.C., Jack, Dub and Aud Panter and two sisters, Jadie Clendenon and Pearl Boyd. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frank C. and Marie Stacy of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Jewell D. and Franklin Standifer of Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, Dean Standifer of Augusta, SC, Ricky and Faye Stacy of Winchester, TN and Dondi and Geno Volz of McKinney, TX; three great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Powers of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 in High's Chapel with Bruce Atnip officiating. Burial followed in the Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek.
