Anne Garrett Smith SWANSON

Clarksville, TN resident and Warren County native Anne Garrett Smith Swanson, age 72, was born June 16, 1939 and died August 28, 2011 at Alive Hospice @ St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired teacher with Warren County School System, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Garrett and Arrie Mae Templeton Smith. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Laurie Swanson of Brentwood, TN and Martha and Kenn Littles of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Caroline Minchey of Nashville, TN; brother, Charles Smith of McMinnville; aunt, Hazel Julian of McMinnville and several cousins. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 in High's Chapel with Paul Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
