Sarah Ann TOBITT

McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Sarah Ann Tobitt, age 82, was born September 19, 1928 and died August 10, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. A retired employee of Carrier and member of the Bethel Hill Baptist Church, She was the daughter of the late Willie and Mida Hutchins Rigsby. She was married to Richard Clifton Tobitt who preceded her in death in 1980. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, J.C. Rigsby and sister, Geneva Rigsby. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Kay Tobitt of McMinnville; son, Steve Mullican of Lewisburg, TN; two sisters, Reba Hasty and Ruby Bell both of McMinnville; two brothers, Jr. Rigsby and James Rigsby both of McMinnville; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service was held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Centertown Cemetery.
