Lena Mae VANCE

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Lena Mae Vance, age 93, was born April 25, 1917 and died February 20, 2011 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of Genesco and member of the Locust Street Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Esta Johnson Dillon. She was married to James Raymond Vance who preceded her in death. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Darlene Vance of McMinnville; two granddaughters, Kala Marie Vance of Murfreesboro, TN and Ashley Lasha Vance of McMinnville and two great-grandchildren, Dakota Certin and Rebecca Bain both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in High's Chapel with Roland Sharp officiating. Burial followed in the McElroy Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
