Bessie B.D. Tate WANAMAKER

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Bessie "B.D." Tate Wanamaker, age 88, was born August 19, 1923 and died September 11, 2011 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A homemaker and member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Bessie Morton Tate, Sr. She was married to Conard Wanamaker who preceded her in death February 8, 1989. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Matthew Wanamaker. She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Iris and Herbert Walker, Sr., Mike and Joyce Wanamaker, Jim and Maxine Wanamaker, Ricky and Floressia Wanamaker, Johnny Wanamaker, David and Ella Wanamaker, Bill and Nelda Wanamaker and Donna and Ricky Simons all of McMinnville; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Mildred Tate of Cookeville, TN. A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN with Anthony Wanamaker and Jeff Hill officiating.
