Geneva Butcher WARREN

McMinnville resident and Belgreen, AL native Geneva Butcher Warren, age 85, was born August 12, 1925 and died July 9, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late W.T. and Bessie Whiteacre Butcher. She was married to Calvin C. "Ray" Warren who preceded her in death October 20, 1999. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Cunningham; two brothers, Rabon and Alton Butcher; niece, Debbie Studer and nephew, Jerry Crawford. She is survived by three children, David Cunningham of McMinnville, Terry Cunningham and wife Marie of Prattville, AL and Sonja Barnes of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Jean Cole of Rock Island, TN and William "Bill" Crawford of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Clinton and Irene Butcher of McMinnville and two nephews, Tommy Crawford of McMinnville and Jimmy Crawford of Dekalb County, TN. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in High's Chapel with David Daugherty officiating. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
