McMinnville resident and Warren County native C.L. Whiteaker, age 75, was born March 31, 1936 and died June 27, 2011 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a four-week illness. A homebuilder and member of the Pioneer Community Church, he was the son of the late Columbus Jewell and Minnie Bethlee Moffitt Whiteaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Dean and Randel Whiteaker. He was married September 19, 1980 to Jo Porter Whiteaker of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children and their spouses, Michael and Cindy Whiteaker, Sandra Judkins, Cheryl and "Bigun" Morgan, Bo and Christina Harrell and Patrick and Helen Harrell all of McMinnville and James and Donna Harrell and Larry Harrell both of Morrison, TN; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Kaye Whiteaker of McMinnville and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jerelene and Jerry Prince of Lavergne, TN and Kathy and Don Wylie and Carolyn Doig both of Cartersville, GA. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Pioneer Community Church with Gary Few officiating. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.
