Joe Ramsey ADAMS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joe Ramsey Adams, age 82, was born March 30, 1929 and died March 5, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired rural letter carrier and farmer and member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Calvin Bailey Adams and Ruby Adams McGregor. He was married July 8, 1961 to Tommye Gaye Argo Adams who preceded him in death January 10, 2011. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Ronnie Rogers of McMinnville and Carol and Steve Trent of Johnson City, TN; three grandsons, C.J. Rogers of McMinnville and Andrew and John Trent both of Johnson City, TN and special cousin, Joe Dodd Ramsey, Jr. of Ft. Mills, SC. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Central Church of Christ with Julian Goodpaster and Ben Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund or AG in the Classroom both c/o High's.
