Billy Forrest BAILEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Billy Forrest Bailey, age 82, was born May 2, 1929 and died February 27, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired manager with Warren County Freight Line, retired employee of Scot Market, United States Army veteran of Korea and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late William S. and Stella Bratcher Bailey. He was married September 23, 1957 to Lois Starkey Bailey who preceded him in death August 25, 2009. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Barry Bailey and sister, Mildred Mathis. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Lesa and Sam Brock, Darrell and Stacey Bailey and Becky and Gary Holland all of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Brandy, Brett, Miranda and Nathan; several great-grandchildren and brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Joyce Bailey of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Relay for Life through Westwood Church of Christ both c/o High's.
