Barbara Jean Chastain CLENDENON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Barbara Jean Chastain Clendenon, age 75, was born August 14, 1936 and died January 13, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. A retired secretary with Sun Finance and member of the Shellsford Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Frank B. and Delia Higgenbotham Chastain. She was married to Thomas E. Clendenon of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Kathy Clendenon and Ricky Clendenon both of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Dean and Eugene Langford of McMinnville; two nieces, Debi Jones and Denise Layne both of McMinnville; two nephews, Danny Langford and Darren Langford both of McMinnville; two sisters-in-law, Gerry Martin and Agnes Evans both of McMinnville and special friends, Preston and Gloria Grissom, David and Jacqueline Hitchcock and Grant and Ethan Hitchcock all of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 in High's Chapel with Jimmy Bond officiating. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
