McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Freddie Mae Cravens, age 72, was born December 6, 1939 and died February 29, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a two-year illness. A retired employee of General Motors and Shell Food Mart and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Sallie Emberton Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde, Gene, Ray and Ralph Brown. She was married May 11, 1963 to Roy Cravens of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Roy David (Jeannie) Cravens of Cookeville, TN; daughter, Fredia Black of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Hunter Black, Hayden Black, Paige Rutherford, Daniel Cravens, Terran Cravens, William Cravens and Bradley Brown; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Corene Cravens of Columbia, TN and brother-in-law, Hughey Bay Cravens of Anderson, IN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 in High's Chapel with Dean Northcutt officaiting. Burial followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens in Livingston, TN.
