Willie Dean DECKARD

McMinnville resident and Smith County, TN native Willie Dean Deckard, age 78, was born March 17, 1933 and died February 16, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of Friendship The Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Wash and Frances Warren Reed. She was married January 6, 1951 to J.C. Deckard who preceded her in death June 28, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Amos Lynn Deckard; three sisters, Pheaby Collins, Sheaby Garrett and Ann Collins and brother, Johnny Reed. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanine and Doug Fults of Rock Island, TN; four grandchildren, Jon Deckard and wife Tara and Terry D. Fults both of McMinnville; Jason Deckard of Rock Island, TN and Zack Deckard of Morrison, TN; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie McBroom of Cookeville, TN and Lois Woodard of Elmwood, TN and brother, Willard Reed of Lebanon, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012 in High's Chapel with Jason Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Brick House Cemetery.
