Mary Carolyn Stanley DUNN

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Mary Carolyn Stanley Dunn, age 74, was born July 4, 1937 and died March 28, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Mary Rose Bennett Stanley. She was married to William Newton Dunn who preceded her in death December 24, 1995. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Stanley Scott. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Stanley Dunn of McMinnville, Jackie Dunn Pope and John of Murfreesboro, TN and Carl Barton Dunn and Tammy of Morrison, TN; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Carl M. Stanley and Larry B. Stanley both of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 in High's Chapel with Bobby Newby officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County Food Bank or Books From Birth both c/o High's.
