Campaign, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Rexford "Rex" Lee Grizzle, age 82, was born February 13, 1930 and died March 5, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired carpenter and grocer and member of the Campaign Church of God of Prophecy, he was the son of the late Hershel and Martha Williams Grizzle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Hawkins Grizzle; daughter, Patricia E. Grizzle Keyser; six brothers, Homer Roy, Clarence, Carlton, Floyd, Harvey and Dean Grizzle; sister, Edith Olene Grizzle and step-son, Gary Wayne Solomon. He was married April 12, 1998 to Magdalene Solomon Grizzle of Campaign, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Geraldene and Jerry Roberts of the Irving College Community; two grandchildren, Pvt. Houston (Brandy) Roberts of Ft. Knox, KY and Keri B. Roberts of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Brandelyn and Kaylyn Roberts of McMinnville; seven step-sons, Billy Solomon of Dallas, OR, Bobby Solomon of McMinnville, Ricky Solomon of Cannon County, TN, Michael Solomon and Freddie Solomon both of Van Buren County, TN; Duane Solomon of Portland, TN and Johnny Solomon of the Rocky River Community; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in High's Chapel with Rick Lyles officiating. Burial followed in the Campaign Church of God Cemetery.
