Harvena GUNNING

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Harvena Gunning, age 85, was born August 6, 1926 and died April 18, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. A hairdresser and member of the Fall City Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Elizabeth McCormick Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Faye Bryant and great-grandson, Mickey Bryant. She was married September 20, 1970 to Arthur L. Gunning of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two step-sons, Steven Richard Gunning of Clarksville, TN and Michael Gunning and wife Lisa of Rock Island, TN; grandson, Bobby Arnold and wife Pam of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Dean Christian of Nashville, TN and Juanita Adams and husband Wilbur of Gallatin, TN; great-niece, Debbie Slocumbe and husband Chuck and great-grand-niece, Elizabeth Lewis. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Mt. View Cemetery with Joey Spicer officiating.
