Robert Dee JONES

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Robert Dee Jones, age 75, was born May 31, 1936 and died January 11, 2012 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A maintenance worker with the Warren County School System, United States Air Force veteran and member of the Shellsford Baptist Church, he was the son of the late John and Julia McCormick Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters. He was married May 20, 1961 to Linda Powell Jones of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Gail and Pete Murray of Morrison, TN and Robert Dale and Lynn Jones and Gina and Darryl Keener both of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Eli Jones, Sarah Keener, Dennis Keener, Breydon Jones and Bailey Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and John Jones of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 in High's Chapel with Jon Kent officaiting. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
