William Corbin MCCORMICK

McMinnville resident and Warren County native, William Corbin McCormick, age 79, was born August 22, 1932 and died July 2, 2012 at his residence following a short illness. A retired logger and saw mill worker and a member of the First Assembly of God, he was the son of the late James William and Maggie Lee Priest McCormick. He was married to Nellie Lee Lewis McCormick who preceded him in death October 25, 2000. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harvel Hale. He is survived by eight children and their spouses, Brenda and Carl McGinness, David Lynn and Barbara Bates, Nathan Bates, Linda Bates, Bobby McCormick, Rickey and Louise McCormick and Joe and Treva McCormick all of McMinnville and Beverly and James Eubanks of Morrison, TN; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Mariecha McCormick of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Unita Butcher and Sarah Rogers. Funeral service was held Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in High's Chapel with Rev. Sammy Lee officiating. Burial followed in Mt. View Cemetery.
