William Barry MCKINLEY

McMinnville resident and Detroit, MI native William Barry McKinley, age 72, was born October 7, 1939 and died April 10, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired mechanic with U.S. Auto Sales, United States Air Force veteran and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John and Eula M. Phillips McKinley. He was married to Donna Wheeler McKinley of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and April McKinley, Bill and Jennifer McKinley and David and Tabitha McKinley all of McMinnville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Richard, Tommy, Phillip, Joel and Earl; two sisters, Joann and Mary and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 in High's Chapel. Full military honors were administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital c/o High's.
