A. Garland MCMILLEN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native A. Garland McMillen, age 72, was born March 8, 1940 and died June 23, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN following a sudden illness. A retired truck driver with Central Oil Company and member of the Charles Creek Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Charlie and Mildred Couch McMillen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy McMillen. He was married to his wife of fifty-one years, Frankie Bain McMillen of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Carl McMillen of LaVergne, TN and Timothy McMillen and Steve (Cyd) McMillen both of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Logan Moore, Hunter Moore and Tyler Womack; sister, Laveta McGlothin of Murfreesboro, TN; sister-in-law, Betty McMillen of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 in High's Chapel with Nick Pelham and Darrell Cantrell officiating. Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery.
