Vanetta Laurene NEELY

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Vanetta Laurene Neely, age 76, was born March 6, 1936 and died May 23, 2012 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired employee of the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lively and Carlea Inez Cantrell Neely. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Neely. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Greg Hillis of McMinnville; step-grandson, David Hillis of McMinnville; niece, Tammy Blair and husband Raftman of Morrison, TN; nephew, Paul "Eddie" Neely and wife Bonnie of McMinnville; great-nieces, Julie and Leah Blair; great-nephews, Justin and Jared Neely and beloved pet, Callie. A memorial gathering was held June 2, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce. Vanetta's wish was to have this gathering of friends and family, sharing good food and wonderful memories of her.
