S.H. NORTHCUTT

October 17, 1915 — February 10, 2012

McMinnville resident and Warren County native S.H. Northcutt, age 96, was born October 17, 1915 and died February 10, 2012 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. The retired owner of a building supply, retired United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Altamont Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Vernon Levi and Jay Northcutt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Marion, Dorthelea and Edith Northcutt and two brothers, D.V. Northcutt and Lyte Northcutt. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gaylon and Phyllis Northcutt of Nashville, TN and Dean and Sharon Northcutt of Manchester, TN; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffery Scott and Sara Northcutt of Huntsville, AL, Wendy and Lane Owen of Johnson City, TN, Penny Cherie Northcutt of Murfreesboro, TN and Ashlee Suzanne and Jason Piercey of Smyrna, TN; nine great-grandchildren, Eli Piercey, Jackson Piercey, Kylee Piercey, Thomas Northcutt, Mary Northcutt, Ali Northcutt, Brady Owen, Conley Owen and Brantley Owen; three step-children and their spouses, Jeff and Karen Milstead of Murfreesboro, TN, Douglas and Barbara Milstead of Conyers, GA and Phyllis Newcome of McMinnville; two step-grandchildren, Kerri Brown and husband Luke of Kansas and Gary Milstead of Murfreesboro, TN; four step-great-grandchildren, Gary Allen and Ethan Milstead, Kylie Medley and husband Shane and Ivan Brown and sister, Era Pennell of Chicago, IL. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 in High's Chapel with Ray Winton officaiting. Burial followed in the Armstrong Cemetery.
