McMinnville resident and Warren County native Lena Mai Panter, age 87, was born February 16, 1924 and died January 17, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Spring Creek Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lela Coppinger Roberts. She was married May 5, 1957 to A.B. "Aud" Panter who preceded her in death in 1986. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Joanna King. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Vanessa Panter of the Irving College Community; five grandchildren and their spouses, Shea Panter, Matthew and Kendice Panter, Jasmine Ware, India and Joey Laxson and Mitchell Panter; two great-granddaughters, Morgan Panter and Zara Laxson; step-daughter, Bobbie Crawford of McMinnville; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, J.B. and Loretta Roberts of the Irving College Community and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 in High's Chapel with Chris Perry officiating. Burial followed in the Hills Creek Cemetery.
