Ernest L. Babe PARIS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ernest L. "Babe" Paris, age 85, was born January 7, 1927 and died March 15, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired mechanic, United States Army veteran of Korea and member of the Woods Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Ernest M. and Clarita Jones Paris. He was married to Rosa Mae Parton who preceded him in death September 15, 2005. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Rose Paris of Nashville, TN; daughter, Libby McGuire of Texas; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Paris, Jeremy Paris, Adam Barnes, Cole McGuire, Sam McGuire, Sandy Hosein and Randy Hosein; six great-grandchildren, Timothy Hosein, Justin Wilson, Johnathan Hosein, David Hosein, Jada Hosein and Hudson McGuire; brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Edna Paris of McMinnville; sister, Dorcas Shackleford of Madison, TN and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Blues Hill Cemetery with Eben Gilbert officiating. Full military honors were administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
