Madison, TN resident and Warren County native Floyd L. Parsley, age 85, was born December 17, 1926 and died May 3, 2012 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. A retired employee of Pirelli-Armstrong Tire Company, United States Army veteran of WWII and member of Neely's Bend Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John H. and Emma Green Parsley. Mr. Parsley was an avid hunter and fisherman and a master gardener. He was married to his wife of sixty-seven years, Robie Redmon Parsley of Madison, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ken (Reba) Parsley of Nashville, TN and Darryl Parsley of Hartford, CT; granddaughters, Shelley (Greg) Burchyett and Stacey (Jason) Loy and great-grandsons, Zachary and Stephen Burchyett and Nathaniel and Benjamin Loy. A graveside service and interment was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 at Webb Cemetery @ Bluff Springs with Mike Tidwell and Norman Slate officiating. Full military honors were administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
