Robbie Deltrice SHARPE

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Robbie Deltrice Sharpe, age 93, was born April 18, 1919 and died June 1, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of Sears in Atlanta, GA and member of the Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee "Bob" and Lillie Mae Judkins Atnip. She moved to McMinnville in 1988 after retiring from Sears. She was married April 29, 1946 to James B. Sharpe who preceded her in death October 15, 1972. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one niece, Carolyn Smith and two sisters, Wilma Atnip Crawley and Artie Mae Atnip Kell. Mrs. Sharpe was a member of the Cheer Mental Health Association, having received the Distinguished Service Award and the Bell Ringer Award in 1994. She would volunteer whenever the need arose, quilting, preparing food and many other things. She is survived by one son, James Richard Sharpe of Mesquite, TX; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; niece, Betty Kell Yates of McMinnville and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 in High's Chapel with Ben Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
