Charlotte Lee YATES

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Charlotte Lee Yates, age 64, was born October 14, 1947 and died May 21, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Magnetek and member of the First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, she was the daughter of the late William James "Buck" and Jessie Ruth Taylor. She was married July 4, 1970 to Merle Eugene "Rowdy" Yates who preceded her in death December 6, 2011. She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Lisa Yates of Spencer, TN, Duane Yates, Tony and Paula Hillis and Tammy Lance all of Rock Island, TN, Lori and Joe Pancake of Murfreesboro, TN, Leslie and Ricky Jones of Fairview, TN and Terrenia and Gary Ashburn of McMinnville; sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and sister, Jemmie Dale Hobbs of Viola, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 in High's Chapel with Jason Nunley officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery on Hwy. 30.
