McMinnville resident and Warren County native Alma Louise Womack Cantrell Adams, age 86, was born October 14, 1925 and died August 22, 2012 at DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and retired employee of Rockford Textile, she was the daughter of the late John Hampton and Bessie Blankenship Womack and a member of the Gath Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Curtis Cantrell and Marion Calvin Adams; sisters, Beatrice Gosnell, Cornelia Hammons and Laurel Elizabeth Womack and brothers, Herbert and Joseph Womack. She is survived by one daughter, Nina Moore of McMinnville; Earl Stanley (Sharon) Cantrell of McMinnville and Toby Reece (Carolyn) Cantrell of Smithville, TN; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Womack of McMinnville; sister, Paulette Mingle of Woodbury, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 in High's Chapel with Ray Gilder officiating. Burial followed in the Gath Cemetery.
