SR., Charles William MOORE

McMinnville resident and Spaulding, IL native Charles William Moore, Sr., age 86, was born July 11, 1926 and died July 22, 2012 at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. He was a retired welder with Weaver Mfg. Company, attended Gath Baptist Church, a United States Navy veteran of WWII, and the son of the late Gilbert Earl and Nellie Marie Burgess Moore. He was married to Lois Jean Harvill Moore who preceded him in death October 9, 2005. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Samuel and George E. Moore and sister, Margaret Marie Moore. He is survived by seven children and their spouses, Charles W. and Susan Moore, Jr. of Morrison, TN, Carolyn Renee and Tim McCoy of Dawson, IL, Stephen Paul and Freda Moore of Ellington, MO, Michael Ernest and Kim Moore of Athens, IL, Jeffery Allan and Marilyn Moore of Bradyville, TN, Jeanne Marie and John Prince of Sebastian, FL and Jonathan Lee and Cheryl Moore of Clemson, SC; twenty grandchildren including seven step-grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren including eighteen step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield, IL. Burial followed in Camp Butler National Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
