James Franklin WATTS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Franklin Watts, age 74, was born April 29, 1938 and died August 1, 2012 at Manchester Health Care Center in Manchester, TN following an extended illness. A retired firefighter with McMinnville Fire Department, he was the son of the late Robert Fuston and Delzel Kirby Watts. He was married December 24, 1955 to Doris Elizabeth Morton Watts who preceded him in death October 7, 1993. He is survived by five children and their spouses, Danny and Sandra Watts of Gruetli-Laager, TN and Dennis Watts, DeWayne and Teresa Watts, Donna and Gerry Croney and Gary Watts all of Murfreesboro, TN; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Melba Jean Watts of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Sue McMillen and Patricia and Bobby Stewart both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and companion, Paulette Polson of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 in High's Chapel with Pat Dennis officiating. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
