McMinnville resident and Warren County native William Earl "Bill" Womack, age 82, was born January 7, 1930 and died August 25, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. A dairy farmer, carpenter and nurseryman, United States Army veteran of Korea and charter member of the Trinity Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon, he was the son of the late Grover Alton and Verdie Mae Kelley Womack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter-in-law, Becky Womack; brothers, Jessie A., Clarence V. and Wilburn C. Womack and sister, Mable Gibson Nash. He was married October 25, 1952 to Virginia Smith Womack of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, David and Nancy Womack, Sandra Brown and William Jeffery and Wanda Womack all of McMinnville and Pamela Womack and Bruce Gitelman of Denver, CO; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffery Bryan Womack, Candice and Jackie Matheny, Jr., Heath and Brandi Womack, Ben Brown and Corey Brown all of McMinnville; two step-grandchildren, Jimmy Martin and Paul (Andrea) Martin both of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Alton and Kaylee Womack of McMinnville; two step-great-grandchildren; Jay Martin and Rebecca Leann Lance both of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Linda Womack of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie M. Fugate, Ramona Alice and E.F. Smith and Dima and J.W. Craddock all of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church with Ted Stoffle, Paul Allen Smith and Jerry Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Hill Cemetery @ Trinity.
