Edna Sarah GREEN

Rock Island, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native Edna Sarah Green, age 80, was born September 7, 1931 and died August 27, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Dibrell Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late James Finley and Minnie Lee Green Rankhorn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Austin E. Green and Aubrey Tenpenny; four brothers, Shady, Robert, John Leonard and James Rankhorn; sister, Onie May Roberts and step-son, Larry Tenpenny. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Jerry Lane and Melissa Green and Anthony Lee and Tresa Green both of Rock Island, TN and James Daniel and Mary Lou Green of DeKalb County, TN; step-daughter, Tina Bain of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Angela Jackson of Georgia, Jonathon Green and Jeremy Green both of DeKalb County, TN, Kevin Lee Green of California and Zachary Green of Japan; three great-grandchildren, Austin McConathy of Georgia and Avery Green and Hunter Green both of California; two brothers, Arthur Rankhorn of Oklahoma and Billy Ross Rankhorn of McMinnville; three sisters, Magaline Rankhorn and Betty Jean Bowden both of Sparta, TN and Lee Ella Young of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012 in High's Chapel with Shane Fisher officiating. Burial followed in the Webb Cemetery @ Bluff Springs.
