Margaret Rhea BRYANT

January 21, 1938 — September 18, 2012

McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Margaret Rhea Bryant, age 74, was born January 21, 1938 and died September 18, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation, member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, member of Order of the Eastern Star and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Eunice Hale Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Roberts Langston. She was married to Walker Bryant, Jr. of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two grandchildren, Amanda Woodlee and husband Shaun of McMinnville and Jesse Langston of New York, NY; three great-grandchildren, Mea Starkey, Layla Woodlee and Gage Woodlee; step-daughter, Vickie Leonard and husband John of Franklin, TN; step-son, Wade Bryant of McMinnville; step-grandson, Travis Bryant and wife Kristi of Knoxville, TN; two step-great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Jackson Bryant and brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Kathy Simmons of Doyle, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 in High's Chapel with Titus Ward and Jerry Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Simmons Cemetery in White County, TN.
