Eufaula, AL resident and Warren County native Everett Hugh Rutledge, age 73, was born February 3, 1939 and passed away peacefully at his home in Eufaula on October 3, 2012 following an extended illness. A retired employee of Meade Paper Company and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Newton and Mattie Lou Rogers Rutledge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Rutledge and sister, Thelma Breedlove. He was married to Carol Robinson Rutledge of Eufaula, AL. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Rhonda Rutledge Foster (Tony) and Chad and Stephanie Rutledge both of McMinnville and Lafonda Rutledge Rudd (Mark) of Murfreesboro, TN; step-daughter, Felicia Smith of McMinnville; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Chelsea King and Mikey Allred, Maegan Rudd and Greg Snyder, Tyler Rudd, Kailea King, Nolyn Rutledge, Kalle Rutledge and Delicia Raqual Brooks (Michael); step-grandchild, Nick Foster; two sisters, Emogene Magness of McMinnville and Betty Rutledge Grissom of Pulaski, TN; sister-in-law, Charity Rutledge of Campaign, TN; several nieces, nephews and friends in McMinnville and Eufaula, AL. A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Friendship Cemetery with Steve Breedlove officiating.
