McMinnville resident and Coffee County, TN native Tommy Euel Johnson, age 71, was born January 3, 1941 and died October 3, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. A security enforcement officer with Davis Security Company, United States Navy veteran and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Tom Johnson and the late Velma Grace Fults Hobbs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Utah Calvin Johnson and Tony Allen Johnson. He is survived by one daughter, Tonya Stoner of Palmer, TN; two grandchildren, Elonia James and Nateka Williams-Coppock both of Gruetli-Laager, TN; four great-grandchildren; former wife, Mabel Ruth Johnson of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church with Johnnie Hobbs officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with full military honors to be administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.
