Woodrow Wilson St. John

McMinnville, TN resident and Huntland, TN native Woodrow Wilson St. John, age 87, was born April 16, 1925 and died October 24, 2012 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. Retired from Burroughs-Ross-Colville Company, a United States Army veteran of WWII and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Lucy Jane Neal St. John. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Richardson and Viola Pogue; one brother, Ernest St. John; and son-in-law, Lanny Elkins. He was married to Emma Jean Bouldin St. John of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Kathy Elkins of Paris, TN, Randall and Donna St. John of McMinnville, Clifford and Drena St. John of Vero Beach, FL and June and Patrick McCormick of McMinnville; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in High's Chapel with Bro. Hershell Short officiating. Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery will full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at High's.
