William Douglas "Billy" Cartwright

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native William Douglas "Billy" Cartwright, age 77, was born February 28, 1935 and died October 26, 2012 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. He was a retired Teacher and Assistant Principal for forty-one years with the Warren County School System and a member of Smyrna Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Otto and Nora Mullican Cartwright. He was married to his wife of forty-eight years, Betty Sue Ramsey Cartwright who preceded him in death October 23, 2008. He is survived by one daughter, Marlene Cartwright of Decatur, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and LeAnn Cartwright of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Zachery and Ethan Cartwright both of McMinnville; mother-in-law, Avare Ramsey of Morrison, TN; and brother-in-law, Larry Ramsey, Sr. of Lebanon, TN. Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in High's Chapel with Jonathan Stubblefield officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
