McMinnville, TN resident and Lewisburg, TN native David Hugh Stacey, Jr., age 70, was born November 22, 1941 and died October 28, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital following a four-month illness. The son of the late David Hugh and Mary Ruth Ledford Stacey, Sr., he was a retired school teacher with the Warren County School System and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hill. He was married to his wife of twenty-four years, Donna Hill Stacey of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sabrina Maggart and friend Brad of Brentwood, TN; four sons and daughters-in-law, David Hugh and Beverly Stacey, III of Brentwood, TN, Ben and Stacy Stacey of Mt. Juliet, TN, Joe Stacey and Joshua Stacey both of Knoxville, TN; eight grandchildren, Clay McElhannon, Skylar Stacey, Sarah Maggart, Samantha Maggart, David Hugh Stacey, IV, Ella Stacey, Blake Stacey and Jake Stacey; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Stacey of Lewisburg, TN, Dwight and Sherry Stacey of Franklin, TN and Ray and Rosemary Stacey of Lewisburg, TN; three step-children, Tracy Crawford and Toby Crawford both of McMinnville and Kandi Barnes and husband Tim of Rock Island, TN; six step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson; brother-in-law, Tim Hill of McMinnville; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Mr. Stacey was a graduate of Marshall County High School. He graduated MTSU in 1966, and attended at the same time as his three brothers. He lived in Warren County since 1966, teaching school for 32 years. He was also a nurseyman/landscaper and rental property owner for the past twenty-five years. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in High's Chapel with Bobby Newby and Chad Coppinger officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Sunday at High's. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local Kids of the Community, the Food Bank, the Rescue Squad or charity of your choice.
