Phyllis Ann Buckner

Gainesboro, TN resident (formerly of McMinnville) and Warren County native Phyllis Ann Buckner, age 63, was born January 16, 1949 and died November 8, 2012 at her residence following a sudden illness. A retired employee of Aqua-Tech and member of the Bridge Community Church, she was the daughter of the late Emma Louise Davis Brock and the late Willard Elbert Jones. She was married August 13, 1968 to Jake David Buckner who preceded her in death March 3, 1998. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by step-father, Frank Brock. Mrs. Buckner is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Ely of McMinnville and Jennifer and Nathaniel Wanner of Gainesboro, TN; sister, Debora Smartt and husband Johnny of McMinnville; two brothers, Joe Jones of Gallatin, TN and Gary Jones of Rock Island, TN; step-mother, Wilma Jones of Indiana; three grandchildren, Jacob Ely, Gage Wanner and Madison Wanner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Marie Buckner of Campaign, TN and several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and an uncle. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 in High's Chapel with Kelly Stockton, Ken Lewis and Jacob Ely officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery @ Bluff Springs. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 8:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
