Jo R. Yager

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Jo R. Yager, age 85, was born April 24, 1927 and died November 18, 2012 at River Park Hospital. A retired secretary with the Warren County School System and member of the Christ United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Willie Monroe and Clara West Russell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, J.T. Russell; sister, Pauline Terry and daughter, Betty Lynn York. She was married September 1, 1950 to Ed Yager of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Ed (Cheryl Racel) Yager, IV of Nashville, TN; grandson, Christopher (Robin) York of Knoxville, TN; brother, Clarence (Mary) Russell of Indianapolis, IN and sister, Chris Rogers of Indianapolis, IN. A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Riverside Cemetery with Harry Green officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
