Helen Lance

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Helen Lance, age 77, was born March 28, 1935 and died November 30, 2012 at Raintree Manor following a brief illness. A homemaker and member of the East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Theron and Minnie Hillis Grissom. She was married December 27, 1956 to Billy Eugene Lance, Sr. who preceded her in death November 24, 2009. She was also preceded in death by one Brother, Trence Grissom. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Bo and Julie Lance and Debra and Bryan Tate both of McMinnville and Billy E. Lance, Jr. of Sequatchie County, TN; three grandchildren, Geoffrey Tate, Chelsea Lance and Trent Lance all of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Teagan Leigh Tate and Tucker Layne Tate; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Debbie Grissom and Gene and Diane Grissom both of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Joe Lyle of McMinnville; Sister-in-law, Pat Grissom of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Annette and Sandy. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
