Kenneth Lynn Hillis

Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native, Kenneth Lynn Hillis, age 44, was born June 17, 1968 and died December 7, 2012 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A carpenter with Johnson's Construction Company, he was the son of Jearld Hillis, Sr. of Rock Island, TN and the late Zora Lee Grissom Hillis. In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons, Shane Hillis of Arizona and Michael Hillis of McMinnville; one daughter, Katrina Hillis of McMinnville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jearld Hillis, Jr. of Rock Island, TN and Dwayne and Sue Hillis of Sparta, TN; and two grandchildren. A graveside service and interment will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Shockley Cemetery, Van Buren County with Rick Lyles officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday at High's.
