McMinnville resident and Warren County native Hazel Weddington Wilcher, age 83, was born December 3, 1929 and died December 25, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of Genesco and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elba Boren Bost. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, R.L. Weddington and Raymond Wilcher; son, Roy Thomas Weddington; granddaughter, Veleaka Covino; four sisters, Nola Priest, Lena White, Irene Boyd and Pauline Weddington and brother, Charles Bost. Mrs. Wilcher is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steve Jennings of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Natalia Pettrey and Savannah Bell both of McMinnville and Roy Thomas Weddington, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN; six great-grandchildren, Brooke Covino, Bradley Covino, Kealey Caldwell, Peyton Pettrey, Thomas Incee Weddington and Camden Seibers; four step-children, Doug (Nina) Wilcher, Debra McBride, Tim (Lorie) Wilcher and Joey (Lydia) Wilcher all of Rock Island, TN; eleven step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; sister, Millie Smith and daughter-in-law, Alicea Weddington both of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 in High's Chapel with Billy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High's.
