McMinnville resident and Warren County native Glenda Joyce Hillis, age 70, was born September 25, 1942 and died December 25, 2012 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a short illness. An LPN, an office assistant for Dr. J.E. Phillips, former employee of NHC of McMinnville and co-owner of McMinnville Boarding Home, she was the daughter of the late Lorn and Alma Bouldin Panter. Mrs. Hillis was a member of St. Mary's Church of Christ. In additon to her parents she was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Billie Panter. She was married December 30, 1992 to John "J.T." Hillis of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Gregory Kent Hendrixson of McMinnville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby Panter and Gary and Christine Panter both of McMinnville; three nephews, Jeff Panter, Ted (Veronica) Panter and Todd Panter all of McMinnville; niece, Ginger Kay (Keith) Wanamaker of McMinnville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, John and Joyce Beddingfield of Piedmont, SD; three step-nieces, Jennie (Dave) Utter of South Dakota, Jackie (Chris) Pinard of North Carolina and Tika (Ted) Stefoniak of Wisconsin and best friend, Alma McCormick of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 in High's Chapel with Greg Rains and Donald Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at High's. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek trust fund.
