Betty Shirlene Talbert

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Betty Shirlene Talbert, age 73, was born August 16, 1939 and died December 27, 2012 at Bordeaux Long Term Care in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Dairy Queen and member of the New Hope Full Gospel Church, she was the daughter of the late Claude Alexander and Ocie Adell Coppinger Hickey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Douglas E. Brooks, Sr. Mrs. Talbert is survived by one sister, Selma Brooks of McMinnville; nephew, David Lynn Hickey, Sr. of McMinnville; great-niece, Kayla Brook Hickey of McMinnville; great-nephew, David Lynn Hickey, Jr. of McMinnville; several cousins; friends, Lou Sullivan and Linda Richardson both of McMinnville and close friends, Brian and April Stembridge. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 in High's Chapel with Carl Crow officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrison Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High's.
