Willie Bouldin Barnes

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Willie Bouldin Barnes, age 91, was born July 9, 1921 and died December 31, 2012 at her residence following a sudden illness. An retired employee of Hobbs Greenhouse, member of VFW Post 5064 Ladies Auxiliary and member of the Mt. Leo Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Annie Martin Bouldin. She was married to James Benjamin Barnes who preceded her in death in 1952. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Edward "Barney" Barnes; five brothers, Lloyd, Floyd, Theron, Alton and A.D. Bouldin and three sisters, Claudia Widner, Kathleen Templeton and Elizabeth Graham. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Hilda and Mike Duke, Irene and Ron Glasener, Katie and Mike Weatherspoon and Jerry and Phyllis Barnes all of McMinnville; ten grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, several step great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Janie Barnes and sister, Gloria Downham of Dayton, IN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 in High's Chapel with Steve Hillis and Stan Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High's.
