Irma Joyce Dearing

Gallatin, TN resident and Marshall County, AL native Irma Joyce Dearing, age 91, was born October 2, 1921 and died January 6, 2013 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN following a sudden illness. A retired bookkeeper with Towe Realty and a member of First United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Nora Belle Gerron Woosley, Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Edward Dearing, Jr. and Charles Elijah Dearing; and one sister, Lois Mae Altizer. She is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Bailey of Gallatin, TN, Linda Joyce Duke of Manchester, TN and Nancy J. and Gary Womack of Nashville, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan Edward and Connie Dearing of Sparta, TN; and eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A graveside and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Mt. View Cemetery with Lanny Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation at High's. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
